In addition to wine, we also sell saké and cider. And several times a year, we show those at our Friday tastings. This is a great chance to learn about saké and taste four different styles. For this tasting we will be exploring "savory" saké: rich in amino acids, these saké are fascinatingly complex, often made using old-school methods, and are especially compelling when enjoyed with a variety of foods. Here in the US, we often default to pairing saké with sushi, but this week we hope to broaden your thinking on which foods you may enjoy with this deliciously food-friendly beverage.
